PROBLEMS WHEN Flatto Coffee & Lounge Store Design

The existing space suffered from a narrow width and low ceiling height, combined with a cluttered original layout. This made it difficult to organize distinct areas for the lounge and the bar counter as initially envisioned. The client required a versatile “hybrid” space: a relaxing coffee spot by day that seamlessly transitions into a “chill” lounge by night. This transition demands a highly flexible layout and a sophisticated, multi-layered lighting system. Flatto aims for a youthful and liberal image that remains sophisticated—a style that was not yet reflected in the original interior. The goal was to redefine the space to embody this modern brand spirit.

In the interior design solution for Flatto Coffee & Lounge, the Co-IDB team opted for a Modern Chic direction—a style that blends contemporary elegance with an artistic, free-spirited touch, perfectly aligning with Flatto’s brand identity.

Key Design Highlights

CO-IDB implemented the interior design with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring both high quality and exceptional aesthetics:

Space: The floor and ceiling levels were calculated with precise heights, paired with floor-to-ceiling windows to create an expansive, airy, and open atmosphere.
Colors & Materials: The palette is dominated by a deep navy blue, complemented by wooden furniture and velvet-upholstered seating. This combination offers a gentle sense of intimacy while maintaining a high level of luxury.
Decor: The walls feature a curated collection of artworks by renowned Vietnamese artists, serving as sophisticated focal points throughout the establishment.
