PROBLEMS WHEN designing show unit Jinjoo Home

Highlighting a distinctive style while remaining highly applicable: The design needs to be visually striking enough to attract viewers, yet practical so customers can easily imagine applying it to a real apartment. Limited apartment size: Optimizing functionality while maintaining a sense of openness and comfort is a key challenge. Accurately conveying the brand spirit: Consistency between design, spatial experience, and the Jinjoo brand image—refined, modern, and authentically Korean—must be ensured. Strict requirements for color coordination and detailing: As the project follows a minimalist approach, every small detail must be carefully handled to avoid visual clutter or a cold, impersonal feel.

The space is organized in an open layout, minimizing rigid partitions. Instead, zoning is defined through open shelving systems, fabric curtains, or changes in flooring materials. The furniture is modular and streamlined, incorporating multiple concealed storage solutions to maximize usable space.

Key Design Highlights

1. Living Room – A Space That Welcomes Emotion

A low-profile cream linen sofa is paired with a round wooden coffee table and a neutral-toned handwoven rug. Matte white walls are accented with canvas artwork and soft spot lighting. A built-in TV unit integrated with bookshelves keeps the design minimal while maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere.

2. Kitchen – Compact, Refined, and Functional

The L-shaped kitchen features light wood-grain laminate cabinetry and a white stone countertop with subtle veining. Integrated handle-less doors and full-height cabinets optimize storage. A compact four-seat dining set is complemented by handmade ceramic pendant lights in earthy tones, adding softness and a sense of intimacy.

3. Bedroom – A Place for Complete Rest

The bed is upholstered in beige fabric with a gently curved, rounded headboard. Built-in wardrobes with flat, handle-less doors maintain a clean look. A small vanity with a full-length mirror is paired with a light gray accent chair. Warm ambient lighting creates a soothing and restful atmosphere.

4. Relaxation & Home Office Corner

A small corner by the window is designed for reading or working from home, featuring a compact wall-mounted desk, soft fabric chair, and a mini bookshelf. Natural light combined with greenery ensures the space remains functional while evoking comfort and emotion.

5. Décor & Materials

The entire space is finished with eco-friendly materials, including E1-standard engineered wood, cotton fabrics, engineered stone, ceramics, and clear glass. Every detail is simplified yet thoughtfully refined—true to the “less but better” philosophy.
