PROBLEMS WHEN DESIGNING SHOW UNIT Russo Town House

Limited frontage with deep spatial layout, requiring smart planning to avoid a cramped or visually cluttered feel. Clearly reflecting the target audience—young, dynamic families who appreciate modern living without excessive complexity. Optimizing functionality within a townhouse layout, ensuring all essential areas for living, resting, working, and leisure are well accommodated without overcrowding. Creating an emotional experience within the show unit, so visitors don’t just see the product, but can envision their future lifestyle in the space.

Design proposals for each category

Co-IDB proposed an interior design solution that blends modern style with subtle neo-classical influences, featuring an easy-to-apply neutral color palette (cream – brown – gray – white). Soft curved details are used as accents, combined with natural, raw materials such as linen fabric, oak veneer wood, and light-toned granite stone.

Key Design Highlights

  1. Living Room – The Starting Point of the Experience

The living room is designed as an open space connected seamlessly to the kitchen, featuring a light-gray fabric sofa and a round stone-top coffee table with black metal legs. The TV backdrop is finished with vertical wooden slats, combined with a low console and indirect ceiling lighting to add depth and visual interest.

  2. Kitchen Area – The Heart of Family Connection

The kitchen follows an I-shaped layout in a white and light-wood color scheme. The countertop is made of stain-resistant engineered stone, with glossy acrylic upper cabinets and recessed handles. A four-seat dining table is paired with fabric pendant lights in soft cream tones, gently softening the overall kitchen atmosphere.

  3. Master Bedroom – Minimal Yet Warm

The bed is upholstered in beige linen, with a headboard featuring horizontal wooden panels. Compact bedside tables integrate reading lights for convenience. A wardrobe with glass doors and black aluminum frames, light brown wooden flooring, and double-layer curtains create a relaxing ambiance reminiscent of a boutique hotel.

  4. Secondary Bedroom – Light and Practical

Suitable for children or visiting guests, this room features a single bed, full-height wardrobe, wall-mounted study desk, and a bright color palette that keeps the space neat, functional, and lively.

  5. Top Floor – A Flexible, Open Space

The upper floor is arranged as a relaxation area or small studio, including a sofa bed, bookshelves, a work desk, carpeted flooring, and decorative floor lamps. White-painted walls and high ceilings enhance the sense of openness—ideal for creative activities, reading, or yoga practice.

  6. Overall Materials & Lighting

Materials include wood-grain laminate, engineered stone, glass, raw-texture fabrics, and powder-coated metal. The lighting system combines ceiling lights, accent lighting, and indirect illumination to create depth and enhance the emotional experience of each space.
