INTERIOR DESIGN SHOW UNIT ROJA VILLA

The interior design of Roja Villa is a luxury family resort villa project, intended for multi-generational living, located in a hillside suburban area with expansive views and fresh, clean air. The client envisions the villa not just as a weekend retreat, but as a meaningful home – a place where people can slow down, live leisurely, and reconnect with nature.

PROBLEMS WHEN designing show unit Roja Villa

Spacious but prone to feeling empty: Without proper organization, the large area can lack focal points and lose connection between different zones. Diverse user needs: As a villa for a multi-generational family, each space must be designed flexibly to accommodate both older adults and young children. Harmony with nature required: The design should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also “breathe” with the landscape – light, airflow, and materials must be carefully considered. High personalization requested by the client: The spaces should retain a resort-like feel while reflecting a unique, individualized character rather than a generic design.

Design proposals for each category

Co-IDB implemented the interior design of Roja Villa following a Modern Rustic approach – a harmonious symphony of wood, stone, and natural light. The primary color palette includes earthy brown, beige, and cool gray, featuring natural wood, slate, canvas fabric, matte black iron, and carefully treated raw materials.

Key Design Highlights

  1. Main Living Room – Connected with Nature

The living room features a high ceiling and a full-height glass wall facing the garden, creating a fully open feel. A large beige linen sofa, a solid wood coffee table, and a woven rattan ceiling lamp bring a rustic yet refined touch. Honeycomb stone and dark wood wall panels add warmth and depth to the space.

  2. Kitchen & Dining Area – The Heart of the Home

The open L-shaped kitchen has a natural stone countertop and rustic oak cabinets with a textured finish. The central island serves as both a prep area and a breakfast bar. The 8-seater solid pine dining table is paired with classic black metal pendant lights. This area is the family’s main gathering spot, fostering connection and togetherness.

  3. Master Bedroom – Ultimate Relaxation

The king-size upholstered bed features a vertical slatted wood headboard, and the built-in wardrobe keeps the space light and airy. Oak flooring and double-layered curtains regulate light, while the soft color palette promotes restful sleep. The master bathroom includes a freestanding bathtub, textured stone walls, and indoor plants, creating a home spa ambiance.

  4. Secondary Bedrooms – Flexible Use

Designed minimally, these rooms can function as a reading room, home office, or children’s bedroom. Single beds are paired with desks and wall-mounted shelving. The furniture is cohesive, durable, and easily reconfigurable to suit different users.

  5. Porch & Garden Area

The outdoor wooden porch features lounge chairs, a small coffee table, and handwoven rugs. The transitional space smoothly connects indoors and outdoors, perfect for morning coffee, watching sunsets, or reading under the trees.

  6. Materials & Lighting

All materials are carefully selected to retain a natural, rustic feel while ensuring durability and easy maintenance. The lighting system uses warm yellow tones, layered with ceiling lights, wall washes, and decorative fixtures to create dynamic atmospheres throughout the day and night.
