The ETC Office Construction Project was implemented with the goal of creating a modern, flexible workspace that fosters seamless connectivity between departments. Designed around an open-workspace concept integrated with dedicated collaboration zones, the layout enables employees to easily communicate, brainstorm, and develop ideas. The overall design follows a modern-minimalist style, focusing on a scientific floor plan, an open-ceiling technical system, and subtle brand accents. As a result, the space not only ensures operational efficiency but also cultivates a youthful and dynamic environment for the entire workforce.

PROBLEMS WHEN CONSTRUCTION ETC OFFICE

Common Challenges in the ETC Office Fit-out During the implementation of the ETC office, several key challenges were addressed: Optimizing Seating Capacity With a large workforce, the layout required a high density of workstations while still maintaining clear circulation paths and an airy, unobstructed atmosphere. Lack of Informal Collaboration Areas The workflow demands frequent interaction; therefore, the design needed to incorporate flexible discussion zones beyond traditional meeting rooms. Complex Ceiling Technical Systems The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), HVAC, and fire protection systems required meticulous organization to ensure aesthetic appeal while remaining accessible for maintenance and operations. Balancing Modern Aesthetics with Cost-Efficiency The client sought a professional, youthful, and modern brand image that avoided unnecessary complexity to keep construction costs optimized.

Design proposals for each category

To address these challenges, the project was implemented based on three core strategies: Optimizing Workstation Layout via Linear Axes Workstations are arranged in parallel rows along a central axis. This configuration maximizes seating capacity while establishing clear, unobstructed circulation paths throughout the office. Creating Multiple Touchpoints for Interaction In addition to the primary work areas, various informal zones—including seating booths, lounges, and corridor benches—are strategically placed to facilitate quick discussions and spontaneous collaboration. Utilizing Open Ceilings to Enhance Spatial Perception The technical ceiling is kept open, integrating linear lighting systems with neatly organized MEP pipes. This approach not only creates a sense of greater height and volume but also delivers a modern, “light-industrial” aesthetic.

Layout Strategy & Key Design Solutions

The space is organized around an open-plan layout to maximize seating capacity and enhance connectivity between functional teams. By arranging workstations in symmetrical rows, a clear central circulation axis is established, ensuring seamless movement and maintaining an airy, unobstructed atmosphere. In addition, pantry and lounge areas are strategically interspersed throughout the office, serving as casual break-out spaces and “touchpoints” for quick, informal discussions.

Color Palette, Materials & Branding Accents

The design utilizes a neutral palette of white, grey, and light wood as a sophisticated backdrop, complemented by the brand’s signature blue to create vibrant visual accents. An exposed technical ceiling featuring black and red painted conduits gives the space a modern, “tech-forward” and industrial edge. Furthermore, the walls are integrated with inspirational typography and environmental graphics, which not only strengthen brand identity but also inject positive energy into the daily work environment.
