Aiming to upgrade the working environment, improve operational efficiency, and reflect a professional corporate identity, the 577 team sought to create a new office that is modern, minimalist, and deeply aligned with their corporate culture.

PROBLEMS WHEN Hitachi Digital Services 577 office design

The 577 Office was handed over in a raw state, lacking a finished technical ceiling system and clearly defined functional zones. The client requested a modern, clutter-free workspace that optimizes costs while maintaining a professional image and strong brand identity.

Design proposals for each category

Co-IDB proposed a Modern Minimalist style for the 577 Office, aiming to create a clean, bright workspace that is easy to maintain and scale in the future. The open-plan layout was designed to optimize floor area and enhance inter-departmental connectivity, while strategically integrating private zones—such as meeting rooms, executive offices, and the pantry—into a seamless and logical flow.

Interior Design

1. Reception Area – Sleek, Sophisticated, and Branded

The reception features an L-shaped desk with a white marble-veined stone finish. The company logo is prominently displayed on a laminate wood-paneled feature wall with subtle LED backlighting. The waiting area is furnished with blue fabric-upholstered chairs and a circular metal table, complemented by small indoor plants to create a welcoming and professional first impression.

2. Open Workspace – Airy and Collaborative

The layout uses 4-to-6-person workstation clusters with low acoustic fabric partitions to balance privacy with team interaction. Employees are provided with ergonomic mesh chairs, while power and data outlets are integrated under-floor for a clutter-free look. The white ceiling is equipped with recessed LED panels, ensuring even and eye-friendly illumination throughout the space.

3. Meeting Room – Professional yet Accessible

Designed with a minimalist touch, the room features a long rectangular meeting table with a dark laminate finish and fabric-upholstered cantilever chairs. The space includes tidy built-in cabinets and a wall-mounted presentation screen. A combination of spotlights and indirect lighting creates an environment that is both serious for business and comfortable for discussion.

4. Director’s Office – Subtle Luxury and Functionality

This office features a dark wood veneer executive desk, an ergonomic leather chair, built-in filing cabinets, and a two-seater sofa for guests. Frosted glass partitions provide necessary privacy while maintaining a visual connection to the main office. Decorative paintings and open shelving add a personalized aesthetic touch.

5. Pantry Area – Compact and Functional

Located in a corner of the open space, the pantry features matte white upper and lower cabinetry, a high bar table with two stools, a coffee machine, and a mini-fridge. The walls are finished with white subway tiles, and warm pendant lighting transforms this area into an effective spot for mid-day relaxation.
