INTERIOR DESIGN NEC OFFICE

NEC office interior design is a project to upgrade the workspace for NEC Vietnam – a global technology company present in more than 50 countries. With the desire to build a modern, streamlined office that clearly demonstrates the spirit of technology and flexible adaptability, NEC sought a design solution suitable for the industry’s characteristics, meeting diverse working models (concentration – collaboration – hybrid).

Problems when NEC office design

With the orientation of expanding scale and improving the working environment, NEC Vietnam wishes to own a modern, standard office with a strong corporate identity. The impressive space with a total area of 1220m² is a combination of flexible functions, modern technology and creative inspiration to meet the expectations of a professional, efficient and inspiring workplace for high-tech staff.

Design proposals for each category

Co-IDB proposed an interior design solution for NEC office following the “Smart – Human – Functional” orientation, which means smart in layout, humane in experience, and efficient in operation. The space is organized according to the principle of flexible openness, but has enough private stops to support many different working styles: focus – collaboration – creativity – relaxation.

Interior design

1. Reception area – clear brand identity

The logo backdrop is treated with wooden slats combined with hidden LED lights, creating visual depth. The reception desk is a monolithic gray-white color, combined with green areas (interior plants) to create a soft highlight. The reception area is neat, sophisticated but not fussy.

2. Open working area – flexible connection

Clustered desks of 4–6, divided by low-noise felt partitions to maintain privacy and support quick communication. Ergonomic swivel chairs, soundproof carpet floors, and recessed panel lighting are divided into modules. Floor sockets are arranged along the sitting axis for easy operation and expansion.

3. Meeting rooms – multi-function & integrated technology

Small – medium – large meeting rooms are scattered, with frosted glass walls and half curtains, good sound insulation. Long conference table with integrated power cord system, projection screen, webcam, speaker – microphone for online meetings. Conference chair with kneeling legs or wheels depending on space.

4. Phone booth & focus pod area – maximum concentration

Small phone booths used for calls or work requiring high concentration, soundproofed with felt-covered sound-absorbing materials. Single desk, soft LED lights, ceiling ventilation system ensure comfort for long-term use.

5. Pantry & focus pod area socializing – a place to recharge

Open design with long bar table, glass rack, coffee maker, mini fridge. Benches and single chairs with cushions create a relaxing feeling. This area uses warmer materials such as light wood, yellow lights and green plants to balance the energy of the whole office.
