Hitachi Digital Services office is envisioned as a strategic technology center of the group in Vietnam – a place that not only serves operations but also represents the spirit of “Inspire the Next”. The design aims for modernity, transparency and connection: open working area, flexible collaboration space, acoustically optimized meeting room and reception area clearly showing the spirit of the Japanese brand – standard, neat but rich in innovation.

PROBLEMS WHEN Hitachi Digital Services office design

The original floor plan was fragmented and unreasonably stratified, leading to wasted space. Natural light was limited by the old partition layout. Thick technical ceilings and many exposed equipment made the space feel heavy. Hitachi needed a space that expressed its technological identity – Japan – international partner level, while still ensuring work efficiency and security.

Design proposals for each category

Co-IDB implemented a spatial restructuring solution based on 3 principles: Increasing visual connectivity and traffic flow between areas. Maximizing window light and ceiling height, using open design/open technology. Standardizing brand identity in space, through color – material – light according to Hitachi DNA.

Interior design

Problem – solution for floor plan & outstanding design

Solve the problem of space fragmentation with a central circulation route that connects functional areas.

Replace solid walls with glass walls, diffuse natural light and increase transparency – the identity factor of the technology environment.

Limit edges – prioritize soft lines in traffic areas, create smooth transitions and “tech-friendly” language.

Color – material – brand highlight

Color palette: White – neutral gray as background; Hitachi red as a controlled accent to emphasize the right brand points.
Materials: Clear glass – frosted acrylic – artificial stone – light-colored wood – creating a clean, bright and professional feel.
Brand highlights:
- Iconic LED lighting and guiding lines
- Technological graphics integrated into glass walls and partitions
- Choosing materials and details in line with the philosophy of “Japanese-standard technology”
